Ceangal House shortlisted for 2022 Manser Medal
The 2022 Manser Medal shortlist has just been published in the September edition of the Architect’s Journal, listing our new build Ceangal House as a contender.
The Ceangal House was designed as an architecturally striking heart of a working farm which has been in operation since the 1700s. Three pitched roofs connect a broken plan interior, with large windows overlooking the Scottish landscape. Designed as a low-energy, sustainable home, we reused 90% of the existing masonry from the existing farmhouse; our clients hand-cleaned over 4000 bricks which make up the sweeping herringbone floor.
