The restoration of a 1930s bowling club to reinstate it’s pivotal position as a community hub in the heart of Glasgow’s Thriving West End.
We worked with Partickhill Bowling and Community Club to help re-establish the facility as a beating heart at the centre of the west end. The old building had become very dilapidated over the years. Our job was to oversee the complete refurbishment of the building, and to assist the club in placing modern technologies which would allow it to become a vibrant, hard-working building seven days a week.
The club changed its name shortly after the completion of this project. No longer is it just a bowling club – it’s now a bowling and community club, which hosts numerous events and social functions every single day. These range from art clubs, to yoga and sports evenings. Bowling still remains very much at the heart of the club, however the changes made have resulted in a hard working building with a bright future.
